Dear Excited Bride,

Can You Be Ethically Bribed?

You see I am a Caribbean Wedding Photographer who shot around 50 weddings a month at a large Caribbean All Inclusive Wedding Resort from 1997 – 2006…And that’s a whole lot of weddings!---6000 to be exact.

This resort has now put out all of its independently contracted photographers and brought the service in house and now a lot of destination brides are complaining because service is no longer what it used to be.  The price has gone through the roof (a 222% increase by one bride’s recent calculation) and the picture quality can be questionable at best and downright awful at worst.  Frightening, isn’t it. 

Most brides never realize these problems until they arrive at their resort and discover that what they were told by a sales agent and what happens at the resort can be quite different.

But by then what is a bewildered bride to do?...So most just grin and bear it and then live with the pain for the rest of their lives.

Oh – And worse still some of these resorts now have a “dirty” policy that no outside photographers are allowed on their properties to get you your precious wedding memories.  Imagine That!

So now you are left without a place to turn.  In fact one groom recently threatened to tear the whole place down if they  wouldn’t let him use his photographer of choice, especially since he and this photographer had known each other for years and were really good friends.

After much hell raising and promises to feature this horrible situation on You Tube, My Space, Face Book, Twitter, etc…The hotel finally gave in and my friends got the wedding photography of their dreams…

Oh, And yes Dear Bride…That photographer was me!
